I've played both and I prefer Manor Lords. Simply because the grid based building of Farthest Frontier does not appeal to me any more, and I like the music and the style of Manor Lords better, as well as the battles. But still, FF is the more polished and feature-rich product, and objectively, it has much more to offer at the moment. It is also much closer to being finished.

ty for your answer, sure Manor Lords is in EA, but somehow i guess ML will offer more as FF - or am i wrong there with my thought?

they are both great games. get them both. ML is still a year or 2 from being complete, FF will be fully released spring of 2025

Farthest Frontier hands down.

One thing that only FF has and ML hasn't is terraforming. In FF, you can build hills to make your fortifications on. And the guard towers and keeps that you can build in FF automatically shoot at intruders.

I don't think that terraforming is a planned feature for Manor Lords. But it certainly would be cool if it were. Making ditches, trenches and "Motte & Baileys" would be a hell of a feature. It does not seem to be on the list for 1.0, though.
