Farming rebalance
In my opinion farming needs a major rebalance.

Neither sheep farming or regular farming with crop rotation is worth the time and effort or in the case of sheep farming, the initial investment.

These food sources suck ass in terms of yield and take a lot of space and planning. Why bother? I just build veggie gardens and orchards instead.

The yield of crops and amount of meat from sheep need to be buffed in a major way if they are to keep up with the utility of orchards and gardens.

There is no way one could support a population with farms and sheep. They require so much work and bind an inordinate number of families working for abysmal return. On the other hand you got the option to keep those families free for other duties and they tend their gardens and orchards in their off-time.

Jabberwocky's guide is excellent, worth a read.

My current game I have over 300 pop and I'm exporting my excess bread and booze. Farming is perfectly viable and very productive if you do it right.
Just to illustrate, here's my latest town:

Bruckfels was founded on "Tausendbruck", the central region on the Winding River map. This region had rich berries and salt, so no overly fertile land. Yet with strip farming and heavy plows I made it work, didn't even need bakeries to produce decent amounts of bread.
