Thinking of buying, Any castles? Is there a world map? is this similar to stronghold Crusaders?
i saw many reviews and playthroughs, but i see no castles or keeps.
Also whats with the small region map? Is there a larger world map?
is there going to be siege war?

Im looking for a medieval castle siege sim to play ... but with a world map similar to that of rimworld.... :( There is no such game.

Update - A little background:

Looking for a castle sim, with the construction depth and Castle defense like Kenshi,
Also with depth of Stronghold Crusader,
A world map such as Rimworld, with usual raids, and bandits, and Foreign lords and factions,
A political depth such as that of Crusader Kings,
And realism such as that of Kingdom come: Deliverance,
WITH multiplayer support such as Stronghold Kingdoms / Or Guild wars.

Ive played:
- Mount and Blade Warband, I and II bannerlords,
- Age of Empires series
- Age of Mythology series
- Total war series
- Mordhau
- Chivalry I and II
- Witcher series
And many other

So my search is almost impossible as there's no game on the market that fills all of these criteria ( within RTS series )

Certainly not now. You build a manor, you protect your city. There is no real castle. Your Manor will likely be that in the future when the game is fully released.

The game is quite fin .. but is very much Early Access and not ready for full release.

Watch this video, you will know how the game works completely at present:

There are no castles or keeps in the game yet. They are planned features, along with sieges, but will probably be implemented rather towards the end of early access development.

The small regional map is all that there is. There is no larger world map and probably never will be.

This game is not about empires and kingdoms, only about small regional, territorial conflicts between local lords who rule over small villages and towns.

'Going medieval' is a promising EA, been playing it for some time, it's rimworldish.

It looks like a cartoon. And a bad one, at that.
You seem to be mostly interested in war, so no I wouldn't recommend to you. This is intended to be ~80% a town builder game with small scale conflict.

So have I? I'm just saying that from what you describe it doesn't feel to me like ML would be a good fit for you.

> Combat isn't a very big part of the game, but from your description that's what you're after.
> There's not going to be a large empire for you to conquer, only small regions.
> Siege and castles will be late game only.
> Diplomacy is very bare bones at the moment (likely to get more in depth, but I couldn't tell you how it compares to your other games cos I've never played them).
> There's no MP planned.

Wonder how many masterpieces you missed out on with that attitude :D

1. the manor is something you start building once your village reaches the first or 2nd stage depending on when you collected/crafted resources and for now there are only 3 maps with a bit of an over powered adversary should u pick the large map then he starts with 2 zones :)

played 80% of the games you played :)

i would say its fun although its in still in development and has some bugs and missing things.

There are good cartoon games and bad cartoon games. Going Medieval looks kind of like Sims that could not afford animators.

I was writing graduate research papers on an Atari 800XL using AtariWriter, a cartridge-based word processing program. I had to store it on a cassette tape drive. It was a pretty nifty little word processing cartridge.

We Old timers and global gamers truly deserve the game of all games.

A unholy concoction of :

Complexity of Dwarf Fortress and Map exploration like Rimworld, Castle defenses and mechanics like Stronghold series - Mordhau - And Chivalry, With elements from Life is Feudal, And graphics such as Kingdom come deliverance, i can think of soooooooooo many other
