Beautiful medieval city builder, slow but rewarding progression, some improvements already come to mind - thoughts?
I have to say, we have something very special here. I'm 15 hours in only 13 or so families but things are starting to stabilize and slowly expand. The one battle I got in early game I got completely worked trying to fight off the 1st lords advance into the random territory so I rebooted a saved game. Managing your berry stocks, growing honey are an easy way to keep food and enable lv 2 homes. I do find myself birds eye too much but when I do get down to the ground level I wish we had more AI -ike NPC's and details inside the buildings. I'm looking forward to figuring out the market, its incredibly slow to earn $ otherwise (I did see the post about the market bug maybe thats why it seems somewhat confusing). If anyone hasn't done so yet, get down to the ground level and follow a road you've built through a forest to a mining pit or hunting lodge, its Red Dead 2 beautiful.

Comments to Dev and community - the game has sold 1,000,000 copies and counting @$30 a pop that's at least 20 MILLION to work with. We need to politely demand the dev (who is apparently a solo dude, hats off!) hire additional like minded engineers. Pne opf the most amazing trends in gaming right tnow is the ability to quickly build an early stage game into a masterpiece if they reinvest some of the windfall. Look at Sunkenland and how that game has matured so quickly, it can be done.

Final thoughts... if this game could merge the city building with bannerlord level fighting, omg it would be insane. The total war style is just too clunky and impersonal. Bannerlord fighting with the empire building of Manner Lords would be my dream. Everything from the seige mechanis to the dynamic battlefields could be brought into this game ( just steal a few Taleworlds devs and pay them well).

That much time into a game you should have at least 50+ families. I started a new save yesterday and in about 8 hours total ive got up to 40 families. Its no problem if your playing peaceful and enjoy the early game then there is nothing wrong with that. But if your struggling with bandits and raids then I suggest going to youtube to learn a few tricks and mechanics that will speed up your progression. And as for the combat, the main dev said its not his main focus and this will not be a combat oriented game so i think its fine to keep as is but thats personal opinion too. And as for the market, i suggest selling whatever you have for a surplus to make a quick buck for buying oxen and burgage plot upgrades. I personally usually sell crafted items as they sell for more. But early game ill sell whatever to get some cash haha.
