One family can produce 150 units of cabbage or 110 unit carrot
The first test I made in the mainland

590%farm : was built by the length of 2 morgues and one hunting hut time the width of 2 morgues.

After testing, one cabbage farm has produced average 300units(299, 288, 329) by 2 families work at 590%farm.
And produced 450units(456, 447, 497) by 3 families work at 590%farm.

Average 220units(217, 241)carrot by 2 families
Average 330units(332, 312)carrot by 3 families

As the above result, one family can produce 150 units cabbage or 110 units carrots.

The other test will be released later.
In the end we get 190% should be planted by one family.
So the most effective farm for level 4 family is to build the burgage without expending(3 families ) with 570% vegetable farm. Which can produce 450 units cabbage or 330 units carrots.
760% for 4 families in one burgage (too much food will made your barn jam)

So each kind of farm is enough to build one burgage in one city without any perk. 5 burgage for honey. The other can build port for sausages, lamb for shoes.

I’m not English, I’d glad someone to help my grammar!
And also other good tips wz many thx!

Your grammar is fine and is better than many of the native English-speaking gamerbois we get here who do not know the difference between 'there', 'their', and 'they're'.

Just curious -- How much does a 590 percent vegetable garden cost for the different vegetable crops?
Be careful about upgrading to level 4, though, since currently the storage in L4 burgages is bugged (as in: much too small/regressing to lower than L1), so be prepared to have dedicated granaries very close by to collect the harvests from L4 burgages.
I’ll find out tomorrow, I thought the cost is about 500$ for carrots and 700$ for cabbage! Whatever it’s difficult when you begin a new city. The easier way is to build a 190% farm with non-expended burgage at first.
By the way, one morgues is scaled about 120% area.

Well, start with smaller gardens, then.

Did you just want to test this out? And did you test it out to scale for a L4 double plot as a smallholding or for use in early game?
youre missing something.
For larger gardens the yield cap will also be depending on the shape of the garden. It makes a difference whether you make a narrow and very long shape of garden, or a square shape. Because when its narrow and long, it takes the people longer to walk to the end of the garden when harvesting. So they cannot harvest as much as if they don't need to walk far. In consequence, you can have larger gardens, when they are square shape with short distances. If it is long and narrow they might not be able to harvest everything when the garden is say 500% size. They will only harvest maybe half of it. But if it was same 500% size but with short distance to its ends, they can manage to harvest it all.

Also you are missing pollination bonus. When you have bee houses burgages nearby it adds some bonus to the yield of the vegetable gardens. Its not much but I think +11% whith a single bee burgage in range. It gets a little bit higher with more bee burgages around, but only a little more.
Thx for your suggestion.
My test is always make the squad farm.
One burgage without expended could be scaled with the width of one good exchange hut time the length of two hunting huts. Then its farm area could be scaled with the squad shape. Try to make your burgage like a kitchen knife shape so you may save much building area and make your city more efficient.

I has been build 5 honey burgage (maximum 10% buff) before testing and play the difficult mode.

Although it’s a roughly test, my purpose is what I try to keep good balance in the city.
Only one farm for each kind of food can feed over 100 Lv3/4 families. So I could built more burgages to produce pork and leather instead of vegetable.
If you produce too much food you may let the barn jam and waste time to collect excess food.
If you trade with many kind of good, it may decrease the efficiency in trading.
If you expand your city too far in one land, it may decrease the efficiency when work.
And the coal was not enough if you have no place to make a planted area.
yes you don't need a lot of vegi gardens. One large burgage produce tons of it. Trading carrots with Vogtland origins card is actually quite lucrative. Export price is 5 coins per 1 unit of carrots. However yes if you establish mass production of these for export you will oversaturate the global market with carrots. Export price is reduced, but that is not the main problem with that. When the market is oversaturated you just can't sell so many carrots anymore and they start piling up.
the 600% farm should cost 336$ to buy cabbage seed or 224$ to buy carrot seed.
