Two weeks was too soon
Really excited for this game however I feel with release still being two weeks away we are already getting absolutely bombarded with content. I know one can just avoid watching but obviously people are going to watch it to see what the game is like. Unfortunately in a week burnout mode will kick in and it will lose some steam. Marketing here made the wrong call. A week max before launch would have been much better as by the time one starts to get sick of watching content they are pretty much able to jump in themselves so it keeps things fresh in their mind. It's all about building excitement and momentum right up until release.

It is nowhere near the full game.... This is a Early Access version of a game still under construction, with a long list of features and events not even in the game yet. This game will still be in development for over 1+ year..

Then don't watch content... No one is forcing you to watch it... Have a little bloody self control... No one is responsible for their own actions any more it seems... :steamfacepalm:

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, all these whiney kids complaining about streamers getting the game before them is nuts... You're all so freaking entitled... None of you are entitled to it now, and another two weeks won't kill you... But If you want it now, start a Twitch channel and apply for a code...

Its a city builder game..... There isn't going to be any surprise story content spoilers. You build cities, you fight bandits. lol. People have known what the gameplay will be since the demo. This will make more people buy the game not less. Also it means more bug fixes before we play.

Yeah, this is the one that gets me... What spoilers are people worried about? The Tech Tree? Upgrade paths? New buildings? :steamfacepalm:

I's OK mate. We are all excited for this game. This forum doesn't need to descend into a Cities Skylines 2 forum lol

I don't have a problem with testers. In fact I'd welcome more. I'm meaning I don't think they should have allowed streamers to release content until at most week before for marketing reasons. I'm all for it however but two weeks before release for this much content from streamers is strange and quite unusual

Name one other game, which had 3-12h long streams TWO WEEKS before the game was even released.

I will honestly say that two weeks does seem a bit long. However, just because it's not something done by other development companies, doesn't mean it's inherently bad.

Hooded Horse obviously has their reasons for giving a full 2 weeks of it. It's a decision you'll have to accept and respect, or not. But ultimately, whether it was 1 day or two weeks, the Early Access release will still be April 26th.

They should postpone another two weeks at this point.

Why do streamers have the game for free?
I also work and I don't get anything for free.
The world where rich people get things for free and the poor have to buy them is terrible :D
:steamhappy:

I don't have a problem with them getting the game early or free to at least test bugs and release content days before release to give me some tips. Two weeks is way too excessive given the HUGE amount of content we are already getting. It just wasn't smart I feel.

ruin you seem pretty worked up over what some internet people say.

It's easy, just don't watch any videos about it.

It's that simple.

That's not the point I was making. I'm just talking about general marketing purposes I feel creating hype up until release could have been more effective by timing it better
