Storehouse question

My storehouse is working pretty well under the new system, but it is getting full. The main reason -- almost 700 salt that accumulated when I took it off the market for a while.

I have built a second storehouse, and I would like to dedicate it to salt. I know I can put a family in there and turn off everything but salt, so all new salt production will go to the new storehouse.

Which brings us to my question -- What happens to the 700 salt in the old warehouse if I turn off salt there? Will someone move it to the new warehouse? Will it continue to get picked up by butchers for sausage and the traders for export? Or will it just sit there forever? Or worse -- just disappear?

Here's what actually happened -- I build a second warehouse and set it to only accept salt. And I turned off salt in the original warehouse.

The new store house started fetching salt from the salt mine, but the butchers and trading post workers are fetching their salt from the original store house.

Original store house is now down to under 300 salt, and new store house has stocked about 200 units of salt.
