the amount of immaculate cities and lvl 2/3 burrgage plots. i had even gotten too the point i had lvl 2 church and taven, 4 lvl 2 wells at full capacity,
lvl 2 granary and storage, 16 months of food and fuel, 2 clothing stalls,
spent years like this one night, hit a point in which just nothing was happening. functioning trade routes,
but, approaval? 32 lul. really obnoxious when this happens after restarting a bunch trying to find a good spawn.
and you just cant get people to move in XDDD
- If you have animal resource on your map, add hunting camp, assign one family there and then build tannery + assign one family working there again.
---> You have at least one clothing material source requirement solved very easily and very early.
- Food you already do have.
- Church. Did you build it yet?
- Do you have enough firewood for all houses? Creating woodcutter is a good idea, if you do not have that yet. And yes, assign at least one family there too.
And like others mentioned above, water well is important and tavern is good to have, for burgage levels of 2 and 3.
Oh, one more thing!
- Make sure you have enough families working at storehouse & granary buildings each, so they can have more families helping with item distribution and goods reaches buildings further away.
This is usually a reason behind why sometimes my town members are not happy, until I assign more workers and improve logistics.
new game
always create a save file of your map before playing, so if glitches happen you can load up the save in hoaps the bug doesnt happen.
works well for me, sometimes takes a few trys.
Start a new game, and build 5 burgages in March. That way, the homeless penalty won't carry over into April. If you let it carry into April, it will stay with you what seems like for-♥♥♥♥♥♥-ever.
You may want to give yourself double supplies at start up. This will give you enough timber to build 3 double burgages, plus logging camp, plus 2 left over. I believe they come automatically with Relaxing difficulty, but you should double check.
Are you building the church? ---Fairly easy to get, takes a bit longer, but requires NO manpower at all once constructed, for the approval boost.
Those things will counteract the homeless and cold penalties, which will gradually fade over time.
There is no reason why you should be stymied for more than a few months, by -2 or -3 penalties unless you are doing absolutely **nothing** else for your people in the mean time.
