When the game is finished (in about 18 -24 months) It will be well worth it. But only you can decide that. It is still in early development, with Early Access for those that want to help test and have early play through.
You got my opinion --
I don't regret buying Manor Lords, it is a very strong foundation for the finished game it will be. But it isn't finished yet. I just enjoy building small hovels in the wilderness and watch the daily rumaging of the peasants, exploring the various historic settlement types and the pace of life. Then I let it rest for 6 month and come back.
My advice on Manor Lords: wait until it is in sale again or there is more content. The game is on a very good way and will be absolutely worth it. Just not at this moment. In the mean time, you could have a look at Ostriv, a village builder that is similar and more complex, but without combat.
As of right now the gameplay is very solid - yet late/end game stuff is still in progress. Going through the menu's you will come across a lot of 'work in progress' labels.
The game is far from finished judging by the stuff that has those labels. As of now what is already there has kept me busy for close to a 100 hours already. I'm having a lot of fun and I think the money I spent on this game has already been worth it.
I paid 35 euros for it. I'm currently in a position where that is not alot of money for me- so for me it has been worth it.
If your budget is a bit tighter, or if you are looking for a more 'complete' game, I would wait for a sale or for when the game is finished.
