Making Militia

I've checked everywhere and can't find how to actually recruit and set rally point for militia...I get "recruit missing" and no militia's form....help please..

So there are 2 things you need when recruiting militias and that is manpower and equipment. To recruit Spear militia you need spears and large shield, Militia Footmen require sidearms and small shields, Polearm Militia requires polearms and Archer Militia requires warbows.

So form the militia....select the crossed swords and click the + sign and select the composition, you are allowed 6 plus the retinue.

I understand that, but I don't seem to get a militia once I form one...what am I missing?

Are you meeting all of the requirements I posted above?

If you have your view centered on your main settled region, and the UI actually shows the resources of that region, and you have at least your 5 starting families, and built 5 houses and a storehouse, you should get 20 spears and 20 shields as a free shipment - you'll be notified with a message.

If you then follow the steps described in the other comments here, you should be able to at least form a militia of 10 spearmen. In order to rally them, click on the unit card in the military tab and then click on the small flag icon above that unit card that pops up. Then set the rally point anywhere in one of your owned regions. If you CAN set it, it will appear white. If not, it will appear red.
