Houses and wells
I don't get it, what am I missing here?

I've got 5 house and 5 wells. Yet every house says it doesn't have access to a well. Is this just a bug or something in the current moment? This is game breaking for me. I literally can't upgrade houses because there is "no well in the region".

Yes I put the wells over top under ground water sources. Yes, I have wells attached to roads. Yes I've got storage spaces and a ton of housing space. I just don't get it....

Maybe a stupid question, but are people actually living in those houses? I had the issue before where a house said no access to well, but that was because the house was empty.

I hope so, its the only 5 houses in town of 15 people... if they arent do i have to micro manage this game that much???
This sounds like another present from the people who brought you 'Stable' Branch 0.8.024. From your description, you should be getting water to your burgages.

You should report it in the Bug Reports subforum here -- https://steamcommunity.com/app/1363080/discussions/2/

Yeah then they should have access. Did you try to destroy the well and build a new one? Also connect it to a road.

Edit: sorry my bad, you already stated so in your initial post.

1 well should be enough for 15 inhabited houses. If it ain't, then you've encountered a bug.

i would check to make sure the wells are connected to your houses via roads and click on the house and check the people tab or just hold tab to ensure you have people actually living there
I started a new game and the well works just fine now. Not sure what was going on with that last game.

Were the bugged wells by any chance in a save from 0.8.004 loaded into 0.8.024?

That could account for your problem.

I don't know, just got the game two days ago, so I doubt it.

it is a bug .. I have many wells and many houses, some just don't take 'the link' to the well, even if they are connected to the road. Sometimes, only one plot has access to water, then you can upgrade it to lvl2, after which the next house gets "connected" to water .. then you can upgrade that one, and so on .. And sometimes, it's just no use it is not connecting at all to the wells (1 per 15 houses) doesn't matter how many roads you put to it, worse when you destroy the plots to recreate them, you have to wait that the stuff remaining after destruction is removed before retrying to rebuild plots on that space .. so yeah pretty disappointing.

You are obviously not reading things right, no roads or connections to the well are needed, any well within half the map distance will work fine, unoccupied homes will show as "no access to water" It's not upgrading to level2 that gets you water it's access to water and folks moving in that allows you to upgrade to level 2.
No links are needed no roads nada, all you need to do is read the tool tips correctly.
Not trying to be nasty here it's just that if you are indeed having this problem then it is either something you are doing wrong, something you don't understand or indeed your game is borked and you need a re install. My money is on your misunderstanding. I can offer to help if you can provide a screenshot of your town and where you encounter the problem, I would love to see the actual screen.
