A bridge too fare!? @#%£
Don't try and use the bridges as chock points or to fight around them, split men off my units and cased the units to be useless even after i won the battle could not get the units to reform and could not get them home to to disband. Did look like they were having fun in the river though.....

Based on reports like this, it is obvious that the bridges and rivers are merely decorative and have no functionality behind them. No fish, oxen won't cross bridges, Jesus troopers walk right across the the river on the water, and now this.

Greetings,

From other reports about these new bridges, they may be "just slightly too narrow".
- Or different units or objects don't "recognise the bridge as a solid structure.

Reports are if Bandits attempt to cross the bridge they pause, spread out and attempt to find a way around the river banks, then will single file cross the bridge.

- Is this a object collision issue with the units and the bridge sides?
- Perhaps same for the oxen trying to cross.

Has anyone seen a trader on horseback with wagon cross the bridges?

Now is this happening on the maps "pre-existing" bridges or new one created by the player?
- Is there a difference on movement over them?

Nobody cares why it's fubar. That's someone else's concern. We just want the rivers to be something besides window dressing.

And where are the fish?

i selected all my units on one side of the bridge (preexisting) and clicked on the far side 2 second pause will a path was mapped yellow path line flashed up and off they went, in a mob as they started to cross a few individuals from 2 off my units got scraped of and separated, from that point i could not get the units to re-form no matter what I did. And because they could not reform I could not move them far from the bridge.

Greetings,

On the new River map.

Sent my spear Militia to attack numerous Bandit camps, in different Regions, at different times.

- I did not tell them to cross bridges or micromanage them.
- They found the routes by themselves, some required crossing bridges others did not.

No issues found, all arrived at the selected spot I indicated to form up.
- Had them walk not run at all times.
- Used normal and one step up game speed.

Only problem was the Bandit camps and not reacting to my close formed Militia. Had to actually attack there camp to get any reaction.
- Even with later adding a small Retinue, no change in the Bandit camps.
- Some have suggested bringing a few archers to "entice" the Bandits to "meet on the field".

That's a bug that seems to have a workaround in that you can save and reload and that should wake the bandits up and reset their behavior.
