not launching - old pc - any chance?

i have trouble launchng the game - nothing happens - nor errors logged or displayed, all workarounds have not changed anything. i assume my old AMD Phenom II or Radeon RX 550 are the issue here - BUT i have no trouble starting other games

The game uses Unreal Engine 5 so that might be the problem. Required specs below -

Which Phenom II do you have? Better still, copy and paste your complete specs here using the Help / System Information menus right at the top of the Steam client.

Apparently Dead By Daylight upgraded to Unreal 5 recently from 4 which caused Phenom II's to become incompatible.

I had a desktop PC that had an AMD Phenom II quite a long time ago and eventually had to update with a new mainboard to jump up to the FX series of CPU because the Phenom was missing some instruction set or feature/function that a game or multiple games that I use to play needed, I wonder if that is what is going on with yours.

If you haven't already, make sure ALL drivers are updated and maybe uninstall and reinstall to try it again.

I think you are right there are quite a few instruction sets missing. It would be nice to know which one(s) to maybe find a workaround.
