Butcher vs Sheep and Lamb

So ingame on the butcher tab it say i get 2 meat and fur if i kill any but idk if i get the same amount if i keep a sheep or lamb. if it is the same, then it seem better to keep the lamb once u have grown alot of sheep that can autobreed.
Currently have Pasture max is 400 rn
300 Sheep is my plan:
any lamb being birth shall be killed for 2x meat and fur

I have calculated that 58 sheep is enough to hit the ceiling lamb production of 2 every 10 days. That assumes that everything is working efficiently but your planned 300 sheep is seriously awry. Unless, that is, your intent is to flood the market with wool, yarn and clothes.

Doesn't make sense to get wool from lambs, but slaughtering sheep would make sense to give hides...
