Discrepancy between Game Pass and Steam versions of the game

Long story short, I just started the game this past weekend on GP, but have just been checking discussions on here and then noticed everyone's quite excited about V.0.8.005, which was released on 26 September.

However, the GP version I'm playing right has got a watermark in the bottom right corner that reads EARLY ACCESS (0.8.005), and it had all the features people are excited about ready to go as I started playing.

What is going on here exactly?

That means your game version is up to date.

all game versions are v0.8.004 on all platforms, all Early Access.

Just checked and my game is still on version 0.8004 on steam.

Yeah, it's weird, mine is definitely 5, not 4, and I understand that Game Pass and Steam have different update methodologies, and that GP is generally slower, so can't quite say what's going on here.

Thanks, but mine still says EARLY ACCESS (0.8.005); all working fine, though, no issues, but was just wondering.
