It seems the dev has put a requirement on the game to look for XXX version of the runtime files, but it has failed to package the correct ones. So when the game notices it has the wrong files, it proceeds to install the only package it has available each time. In a loop. The above official microsoft files has now fixed this infinite loop of rookie-error.
Thanks! This got my game running again for me. ( after the latest update it stopped loading due to the runtime error. ) While I still have to give the game "permission to make changes" on start up atleat it actually plays again.
If you go to the "programs and features" on your "control panel" you will see the C++ installs. Or Apps and features.
There could be both the X86 and the X64 installs for different years.
- If you need the X64 there should be
2 for 2005
2 for 2008
1 for 2010
1 for 2012
2 for 2013
and 2 for 2015-2022
If you have some older programs that needed the X86 installs there will be both.
X86 installs;
2005 x 2
2010 x 2
2012 x 2
2013 x 2
2015-2022 x 1
As an example; I have 19 different installs of C++ for all the years.
You can also see them using "RUN" command and enter appwiz.cpl
Working for me! Thank you! I just found discount code - APPLEGAMINGWIKINEW
