Where are the fishing lakes?

I updated the game with the latest patch. Started a new game and there are no lakes. Do you have to place a lake? If so, there is no option in construction to build a lake or dig a lake. How does this work please???

Lakes are generated on the map in random locations, check the other regions for a lake.

Fishing lakes sometimes get spawned instead of berries.

only ponds are currently in the game. look for the fish symbol over the pond.

make sure your in the stable branch and your game version is 0.8.004

Nope, no fishing ponds and yes I have the latest patch and I have only used the stable branch, I have not used any beta at all. Must be a bug

I notice other regions have lakes but not my own...... think this needs to be looked at.

I don't think there was ever a guarantee that every region would have a lake, just that some regions would.

ponds are all that is in the game at this time, they are random in number and region..

Could it be that only in new generated maps, even new game witch new patch the fishing ponds spawning? I have the same problem. In my loading game and map no fishing pond in any region on the map... thx for answer

Of course no pond in existing games. Did you save with a pond?

And again, not every region has this resources, it sometimes replaces berries.

7 new games and not one pond in my region. Plenty in other regions but not mine. I will wait for a further update now.

Working as intended...not all regions have ponds

Sorry, but no matter what game version, you will always start in a randomized region. Unless, at some point, they'll let us choose where to place our first settler's camp...And that means you can restart multiple times and not start in a region with a pond. Or you can be lucky and spawn in the middle of the map with a pond directly next to your settlers' camp like I did:
