lack of entertainment sucks
in the normal mode its ok, but when i played on the edge things just dont make any sense, the people claim a church since the game starts(handable) but just after u fix this problem the 'lack of entertainment' pops on the screen with almost -30 aprovation, this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ killing, my territory just sucks at planting seeds to make beer and its just IMPOSSIBLE to import beer in the first year of gameplay, honestly, i think this game should have another means of entertainment like a battle arena or anything, and beer to middle game

Do you have any options for exports to justify the import cost of the Ale? In previous updates I've been able to over produce weapons, clothing, or at least something that I can export to pay for the Ale import.

Challenging settings are... challenging.

Don't upgrade from Tier 1 housing until you are ready to start that ale production. Get the barley and malt in, then you can upgrade 1 house to a brewery, wait until you have a good supply of ale then you can start upgrading other houses.

In an infertile region its going to be a bit trickier, but you should have some (+) fertility land and even (-) fertility land is decent enough to get some barley flowing.

Keep in mind you need 4 ale per year for every tier 2/3 family, so always balance how much you grow by how much barley you can harvest.

Also have a reserve for if you get hit by a year of drought.
