When did I mention that? This is normal mode. And like I said, if you had read, no visible weather. Is there a hidden weather metric where rain can be invisible?
You didn't say what difficulty you were playing on, so I had to guess. I had tried some Challenging starts earlier just to see what was going to happen. Tried several, and between weather and spoilage, at least half my starting bread was gone before April nearly every time.
I don't believe spoilage requires bad weather. If you're not playing Relaxing, and if spoilage is turned on, your bread doesn't last very long if you leave it on the ground.
