SO... I'm in my first game, have a 100 people village, and realised (too late?) that I dont have any money left.. (upgraded some house before realising)
I think you can earn some by trading... BUT I dont have money to buy a mule or an ox...
What am i supposed to do?

You do not need a mule or an ox for trading. Build a Trading Post and sell something that does not require a trade route.

I think that if you demolish a level 3 burgage, you get some cash back, but I wouldn't do that unless I had no ox and no cash to buy one.

Start Trading any Resources you can spare.
If you have militia or retinue loot one of the wakka-mole bandit camps.

Build a trading post and sell some planks to get a bit of money .....buy trade route sell more planks, gather berries sell a few, built vegetable plots, sell some, build mines make clay tiles sell clay tiles. also upgrade to level 2 and get coin for that. so many ways, steal bandit camps and send the profit to town instead of treasury. Bandits are easily led away with one set of spear men while the other set steals their goods....easy, Note that when you hit "small village" status we get militia, however militia cannot rally until you have at least 5 members so don't make more than 2 spear men first and they will both contain 5 members and you can lead bandits on a merry chase. This method is also used to gain treasury funds and influence, using this method the Baron should never be able to claim anything. LOL you can even lead the bandits straight into the barons troops and let him kill them. This will also allow you to purchase and maintain mercenaries (the cheap ones at first) and then use them to take the bandit camps and kill the bandits.
