Trade Prices N/A?
so with the new beta patch all of the major trades show a price of N/A. i haven't established any trade routes for them so idk if it shows the price then but that'd still be bad

also, kinda unrelated, i realized that i'll have to import roof tiles at some point bc there's no rich clay deposit on the map

Major trade items, as described in the tooltips in game, need an established trade route to function. And only then the prices will be displayed.

You can also import clay more cheaply than rooftiles and make the tiles yourself.

I do agree that not been able to see the price of the trade good is really anoying like.
how much does Iron Parts sell for? how do I figure it out [Save game]
pay 160 gold or more to unlock the trade route see what it sells/buys for.
[load last save]
okey I make X/Y from Iron parts not worth it so I will instead open a trade route for X.

(I have not looked at what Iron parts sells for(the item that looks like a iron cog)).

The trick is to save the game, buy the trade route so you can see the export/import values of the item. Then reload the game after making a note of the prices. It's a right damned faff but obviously the Dev's think its funny.

Generally the Major Trade values are not much better than the Minor Trade values and unless your think you can sell at least 80 x items in a reasonable time period (which is very unlikely) then you won;t even recover the cost of the Trade Route. So, you're better off just peddling the Minor Trade items and saving your silver.

You shouldn't need to import roof tiles as long as you are not stupid with the clay deposit.

Only mine the clay you need to manufacture the Roof Tiles you need for construction. I've never run out of clay before during a game, but obviously don;t do something really daft like export it if its in short supply.

Just adding my two cents, it is in my opinion definitely worth making and selling armour with the trade tariff buff. As it is also selling wool / yarn etc again with the buff. where the heck is the 'inter trade' button?!

I did work out the break even point for all the Major Trades based upon the initial cost of the Trade Route. But given the small difference in value between raw materials and manufactured products it's still probably going to be more profitable to export the Iron Ore directly rather than going through the process of manufacturing Iron Slabs and Armour just for the sake of a couple of shillings extra.

I started out in Goldhof with a single, far-away clay deposit offering a meagre 60 yield. It's still there. I began importing at 18s per tile, but Hofstetten is now supplying me for 8s per tile. It's still a good job we don't need too many of 'em!

They're on the advanced tab on your trading post. There is a tick-box for each traded good so you can permit or disallow foreign deals, item by item.
