Not getting new families
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but I'm not getting new families everywhere I've seem says you need house space and 50% approval. I have all these things but still never getting new families. I tried starting over and it still doesn't work on my first save I made it to September with still no new families and 60% approval and extra houses. Can someone please help.

i've noticed that if you have an exclamation point on any requirement in your burgage plots, regardless of approval, people wont migrate into your town

I see a light grey exclamation point is that what you mean? If so how do I fix it.

Ok, let's assume, since you are a newbie, that you are playing the first scenario, which is "Rise to Prosperity"
Default "Relaxing" settings...
(I did this until I got the feel for things)
Near the bottom of the list are "Resident Requirements" and "Approval".
These two should be at their lowest setting (1 out of 3).
Double check this when you start a new game, and make sure you are not playing the settings to the right, like "Challenging"

This may be your problem, or maybe not...

If all else is equal. a new family moves in at the start of a month (or shortly thereafter. Getting a new burgage plot up and completed during one month, only applies for a new resident "next" month, for example.
Anyway, it is a good game , and fun to learn
Best of luck.
