Selling anything without a set trade route only attracts single traders with back packs.
- The trade route allows traders with horse drawn carts to trade/buy large amounts.

You can have hundreds of items on there up for Export but the paddlers and merchants simply won;t touch the stuff for months and then they seem to suddenly take the lot in one go.
You cannot rely on it for regular income.
The same is equally true for imports. I have a standing order for Barley to help keep my Tavern stocked as I have no fertile farmland. The Trading Post has standing instructions to buy Barley up to 50 units, but they never manage it. It just dribbles in as penny packets barely enough to keep the Malt House busy.

Yes, not working as designed or we don't yet understand what is needed or how they work with each other? But this versions is being tested, by us.
Historically, use of single traders between owned towns like this were very rare.
- Any trade like this was with a small caravan of 2 or 3 wagons or heavy carts.
- To allow for each to assist if wagons or animals failed along the route.
Any movement of Arms or weapons would always have escorts, normally directly from the Lord. As the large storage of arms were kept in the Manor Armoury. (future confirmed building for the Manor)
