Right now you can sell not required resources for profit.
You can scrape it up (literally) quick as you please, never take it out of stonecamp, and then...wait for it... EXPORT IT.
Yea, it's cheap. Yea, it doesn't add much.
But it costs you literally nothing to do so.
Furthermore, from a game design standpoint, it seems odd that the perk/policy tree is so large, considering how few points there are to be had currently.
So all in due time imo.
Clay. Its so...clay-ey.
But, hey, free export stuff, so...yay.
For now in early access yes but as you say, you do need it for buildings as it is, so its not really useless, is it.
Also there's a resource tab for Blocks that isn't implemented yet and that may well be stone blocks.
