I think I'm missing something
My starting region has absolute trash soil that won't grow anything.
In my current situation I brought a lot of people to farm in a lot of fields to compensate for the poor harvests but my land is so bad it barely produces any bred. I also can't get barley at all so my town can't grow up anymore.
I tried buying goods from trading routes but immediatly stopped as it gives almost no ressources for exorbiting prices.
I do not have enough supplies to export anything.

So I expended to another region that is very fertile. Thought that would save my run.
Thing is, when getting to said region the game tells me it does not have ANY ressources storred and won't le me build anything.

My workers are litteraly next to the border but the game doesn't seem to let them cross it to start building.

How am I supposed to start building in another region??? Any help would be highly appreciated, my people are about to starve.

Don't get confused on the 250 coins like I did.... you really need to pay attention to the icon differences between your regional and personal wealth stats. For awhile I thought it was 250 regional wealth, but after comparing the icons it turned out to be my lord's personal wealth. They really need to make those icons significantly different so there won't be confusion.

As above you need to stake your claim to the region you wish to own.

This is done by either, zooming out to the map view, or, pressing the map button at the bottom of the screen. Selecting the region and then clicking on claim by Influence option (Claim by Kings Favour is currently in development it seems) - spending your influence points to do so.

The price I have is currently set for 2000 influence points to claim a region but it was a bit lower early game if I remember rightly, around 1400 influence points.

These Influence points (displayed top right of screen beneath your treasury amount)are gained by fighting invaders, fighting bandits, fighting the rival lord on other claims and being victorious or defending your starting region if he decides to stake a claim on that, and ofcourse, successfully defending it!

The grind though, ultimately, is via imposing imposing a tithe on the food production of your current town/village via clicking on the manor and the taxes option. This then takes a monthly proportion of your food and gives to the church and this most gracious and pious act is then rewarded with influence. Assuming this is seen as currying favour with the church who were immensely powerful in the era represented and thus giving you influence (points).

Once successfully claimed the region shall then be bordered in the red colour of your side. The region starts from scratch the same as your very first region, with 5 families and the tent. It is advised to build a trading post in each of your multiple regions to allow required goods to be shipped from one to the other or a pack station (with Mules assigned) to also facilitate the bartering of goods between your regions (aka swapping one item for another, usually food for building materials I've noticed I need to do often)

In essence you have to approach the point of the game as a race/battle to claim all the regions of the map with a rival Lord (who is off screen/map). If you have seen the film 'The Last Duel' imagine you are either one of the male protagonists in that movie, going about a rivalry to claim land, including fighting over it. This is where the dynamic of the King mechanics will be very interesting when implemented.

It sounds as though you dug yourself into a hole and then instead of climbing out of it you decides to dig another one next door and are now wondering why you have two big holes.

You haven't posted an screenshot but I'm assuming from what you've said that your starting region must be quite well developed otherwise there is no way you could have claimed a second one. So, I'm not sure there is a way out of the hole this late in your game, as you have probably squandered all your options.

I suppose the first question would have to be 'What were the benefits of your starting Region?'. It's obvious from your comments that this was NOT an agricultural region, but usually if a Region has poor soil then the game compensates by giving you Rich Deposits of something else.

So, what were they?

Secondly you mention your failed attempt to grow barley in infertile soil, which suggests that your settlement must have reached Tier 2 'Large Village' and you are trying to stock a Tavern with Ale. The simple answer here is to import the Ale for the Tavern. There is little point trying to farm Barley if your soil is so poor. The problem being that you have squandered the money you need to open the trade route and import the product.

Do you have any sustainable resource that you can sell to raise the Regional Wealth you need to start importing ale?

Alternatively, have you already built a Malt House?

If you have then it will be cheaper to import Barley, and process it into Malt and then brew it into Ale at your Brewery. But you need to establish a sustainable export trade to pay for it.

Now this new Region that you expanded into which has a lot of fertile soil. You need to develop it and means starting from scratch. It doesn't come fully loaded. So, you are back to square one I'm afraid and will need to create a whole construction line of buildings to get it started. Logging Camp, Food Supply, Storage etc. all need to be built in the new region just as you did in the Starting Region.

Only when the new region is up and running can you begin to think about farming. But even then it will not solve the problems for your starting province until you can establish a trade link between it and your starting province. So, we are talking long term investment here not a quick fix. I have successfully kept a Tavern in a Mining Region stocked with Ale produced in a Farming Region by using the Pack Stations. But even that requires that the Mining Region had something to barter for the Ale. They won't just give it away.

In my case I was trading Shoes for Ale because the Mining Region had a Rich Hunting Deposit.

You can't even begin any of that if as I suspect you haven't creating a settlement in the NEW Region. That costs 250 Silver from your treasury. If you haven't got that then you are stuffed. Workers will NOT cross borders to work in other Regions.

I'm not sure how helpful any of this is because I don't know how deep the hole is that you have already dug for yourself.

If you have something you can sell in the Trading Post then cancel all your imports and try to make enough money by selling what you have too much of for what you need.

If you have 250 Treasury Wealth then you could try buying an initial settlement camp in the new region and trying to develop it to a point where it can begin farming. But that will be a long term strategy rather than a quick fix.

It'll be at the top right of the screen next to your character's icon! Glad I could help.
