How to delete a road and how to check which is the Kings Road?

I thought I was building my latest town on the Kings Road, then I noticed there was a gap between it and the obvious Kings Road.
I have added a join between the two roads, will this work?

alt and left click on the road, king roads are bigger then normal roads and you cant delete them

beware there are other roads placed by the game that are not part of kings road, which you very likely want to remove, but they will return under your buildings next time you load the save.

Just note you should be in the road build mode, to use the Alt click mode.

You can test if a road is kings road by holding Alt while moving over it in the road building mode. Tool tip will tell you it can't be deleted if its a kings road.
