Report a translation problem
The worst part of this, is if you build your town in one of the bordering provinces (which is pretty much every one except of Waldbrand), the raiders can show up right at your doorstep. Which is really bad if you have your town closer to the edge of the map.
One way to survive, if you have limited troops, but play scenario with Baron, is to avoid fighting and make the raiders follow your troop around and lead them on to Baron's army. He always deploys his troops when raiders are present.
That's a good point about the edge of the map! They'll charge right in and can do massive damage while your militia is still rallying. I've just started tinkering with walls, but for bases on the edge you could probably use walls to good effect to delay raiders
