i dont find it necessary to make too much money if u know how to make self sustain village

all i use is export firewoods in exchange for animals. ox horse and herding sheeps if i ever need wool

Their value at the moment is in setting your trade post as close as possible to one of them bordering your region as it will make trade go faster.
