Battle spot on my territory

As soon as i challenge enemy the battle spot is on my territory and instead of 90 days left for war were i could get mercenaries in time and so on i'm forced to fight in like 3 days all the time same story and obviously i'm loosing since they come with like 10 armies.

And balance overall of armies is bad. It feels like exponential performance. If your army 2 times bigger then it wont have any loses which is nonsense.

And Archers against anyone that's not archers is basically dead. My 32 mercenary archers run away against 8 barbarians. I mean.. ok lose half of them, but there is no way 32 archers can't hit 8 people.
