They get you wool (to turn into yarn and eventually cloaks), and can even help out on your farms

I youtubed it. You can google "manor lords sheep"

  • Built a livestock trading post for buying sheep later.

  • Built a pasture.
  • Built a sheepfarm.

  • Built trading post and sold hides from hunting. You can sell other surplus things. There's no money in game unless you do this step. You do not need a trade route.

  • Buy sheep at the livestock trading post. Don't buy lambs, yet.

Livestock trader, yo.
They trade in...uh.. livestock.

Regarding that, your mileage with lambs may vary. I've had them grow up just fine, apparently others don't have them do so.

If you 'fence up' fields, do NOT build a pasture. Ever. At all. For any reason. It tries to yank control of the sheep over the field pastures, making things (even more) wonky then it is.

Sheepfarm is just for shearing, they will go grab sheep from wherever, bring them back, shear them, return them. No 'extra' pasture needed.

Livestock trader has stalls for Ox. These are useless Ox, as far as I can see, but it counts against your hitching posts, so you need to buy extra's to fill the livestock trader stalls and *THEN* your hitching posts.
