Crop rotation bugged?
Three fields, each have one wheat and two fallow in their rotation. The rotations are set up correctly. As in field one has wheat, fallow, fallow. Field two has fallow, wheat, fallow, etc..

Currently, come September my farmers harvest, then replant the same field they just harvested, when they should be planting the next field in the rotation.
Anyone else experiencing this?

I actually haven't tried crop rotation because so many people said it was bugged. There's been a lot of comments/posts about it not working.
But I'm just going off what I've read.

Yes, having the same issue, i can recommend to manually "force early harvest" if you have like 20 days growing phase left to get the full amount of resources.

You haven't ticked "early harvest" by chance?

It works properly for me. I usually go wheat then barley then fallow in one and flax then wheat in the other

Same happens with me, I have to micro-manage farms.
I've also had the farmers replanting the (wheat) fields that have just had they're year, just after harvesting. It was my very first playthrough, I noted it was happening but just ignored it. They planted the expected fields the following spring - by expected I mean the (other) one's not fallow the following year.

Crop rotation should be working to a 4 year cycle, not 3, if done properly, as it was historically and in modern times for some cases, even though chemical fertiliser has drastically affected all of that.

What I've found is that the crop has to be harvested in september, yet the crop rotation mechanic only switches years in october, not after the completion of a harvest phase. This means farmhands can plough and reseed a field in late september, only to then lose that crop.

Also yes, I've had it where I needed to repeat everything yet again in the spring, and I've had it where the crop grows through to next autumn. There are winter grain crop variants out there, including ones that would've been available in the time period relevant to Manor Lords. None of that is simulated in game yet. Not even FS22 gets that right though.

To not micro-manage it. You need a very specific number of farm hands compared to field size so that everything is done at a proper time. Too many farm hands and they start to sow the field again.

It will do this if you overwork the fields and harvest/store everything before the end of Sept, however if you notice once the Oct month starts the fields will start their next cycle and rotate correctly so any plowing done in Sept will be reset. Pull most families once the fields are picked up and then add them again come Oct.
