I miss children, births and deaths. No lore.
The game is very beautiful and looks like a medieval village, but after a while it looks like a zombie village. I think there's a bit of medieval lore missing. Children running, domestic animals like dogs and cats, village festivals, conversations between neighbors, tournament fields, training camps for the militia, more decorations, assets, people showing what they carry, the use of mules by the richest families without having to be the player buying, seeing the new citizens arrive with their luggage, going to mass together and a lot more small details to give lore. And mainly, there are births and deaths. I miss something?

they should add some accurate festivals that they actualy did celebrate in franconia

I also think that the game lacks a lot of things, besides thinking that the buildings are very similar and simple, without there being anything relevant that visually shows their function, especially the workshops in the houses, but the core of the game is all there, already I haven't felt hooked to a game for a long time, now it's just a matter of refining mechanics and adding medieval features.

I know some other developers are scared to add children into their game that has combat in case the prudish wOnT SoMeOnE tHiNk Of tHe ChIlDrEn tabloids get their teeth into them, I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case here as well. Which is a shame because that utterly breaks having any sort of remotely realistic simulation of town life.

That is not the case here. It's early access and being made by one person. You guys complain a lot for no reason.

Is there a developer road map where we can see the features to be added?

It's been said somewhere families aren't being added because they cause a lot of complexity that isn't actually needed in a game like this. I would prefer them, but I understand why they're being avoided (Keep It Simple, Stupid, as a dev I know says).

Families are the literal bread and butter of this game. They are the worker units, like Laborers in Banished. We have families in Manor Lords

I know that'd make it historically accurate but can we all just appreciate for a second a world with no births, deaths, or children?

There are kids in the game

That's a great idea, a harvest festival (for example) would really add so much to the atmosphere of the game

I wouldn't go as far as saying that it looks like a 'zombie village' after some time. but I definitely agree that the game would be MUCH more immersive and rich with the points you raised.

accurate depiction of childhood would open up the 'child labor' discourse. Idk if we want that really.

I assume they plan on adding more decorations eventually, given there is only one item in the tab right now. Some carried item are showing and some are not, they probably plan on adding the missing ones later on ( dead bodies have been added in current patch for instance)
Its also a single dev project, and already ambitious as it stands, it will not deliver the world and its not better if they get content creep and never finish ( a fate that befell many EA games.)
