Crafting building e.g cobbler will get the leather from storehouse and craft it into shoes. So I think the crafting building will pick up stuff that they need not storehouse worker.
Simple answer?
No. They do not. All they do is collect. If someone in said storage building has a stall, they will take time to restock it.
Which means, it's usually good to have a separate storehouse for firewood for that reason, so they aren't running around grabbing all the things without time to stock their stall.
Same with granary, if you have a surplus of food, yet nothing on the market? Specialize your granaries, so they spend less time running around, leading to having time to stocking their stalls.
You don't even really need warehouses, to be fair. You could probably do just fine without them, since every production worker will go get stuff from the 'closest' stock of it, even if its the producer of said stock. But getting all of 'x' good in one place is helpful, for sure to cut down travel times and streamline things for less walking, more working/stall stocking.
Sort of. If the warehouse worker owns a market stall, then yes they will deliver goods to their market stall. Otherwise no they will only collect goods to put in storage.
