I play on an old MacBook Air M1 from 2020 with 8 GB RAM...

With macOS Sonoma 14.4 I use CrossOver 24 with the new D3DMetal option (this option uses the game porting toolkit).

With the lowest graphic settings I get frame rates around 40-50 fps (in the early stages of the game, no idea how this will change with the expansion of the settlement). But after an half hour the frame rate suddenly drops to 10 fps. If I quit the game an restart it, I can play at 40-50 fps again.

Is this a known behaviour? Or does this probably have other reasons (CrossOver)? Does anyone else have experience of playing the game on macOS?

PS: I purchased the GOG version to have access to an "free to use" installer.

I have the same problem, after few minute the FPS descend to 6-7 and sometimes the mac reboot

I play with GeforceNow on Mac on 1080p at full details. Fluid and i save money because my old Mac runs in idle.

If you don't intend to spend extra money, this is still not a satisfactory solution. In my tests, I was the 240th person in the queue and had to wait more than 1 hour for a free slot to play... After 1 hour playing you have to go back to the back of the queue...
