Rich Iron and Fertile Fields

I've tried about 50 new games trying to start with a Rich Iron deposit and Fertile fields and have yet to manage that combination. Is it actually possible?

My current game has a region like that. But it is not my starting region.

Was trying to pair fertility with something else can't remember what but instead managed to get fertility/rich iron combo.

Not yet, but I am, in fact, planning on having fried chicken for dinner tonight. I'll be sure to set my plate on the PC case while I eat. :D

Fun fact: I used to work for a company that at the start of each project we would put a 20 piece bucket of KFC on the lead programmers monitor (this was the 90s when you could still do that) and each take a piece. The one project that we neglected this turned into an absolute disaster.

I managed both one before and one after the last patch, before you had 6 possible rich things, Iron, clay, stone, berries, deers and fertility. Wich means, the chance of getting rich iron and fertility is 2/6/5. Round ot 6,7% chance pr zone. Now we also have fish and salt, but we still only get 5 spots to chose from + fertility.

If you also want the 5 basis resources. Some stone and clay is needed for building the manor and upgrading the church, you get 4,8% chance to get the 5 inital once. Then you need the rich iron deposit and rich fertility so 4,8%*6.7%. Wich is ca 0.33%. Wich means one in every 300 rerolls. While it before it was 1 in 15 rerolls. If you don't care about wich other resources you get as long as you get iron and fertility as the 2 rich one, it's a 5,7% chance or an average of 17-18 rerolls.

That could leave you withouth hunting for leathers and berries for food and dyes, or not stone and/or clay for upgrades. So with a bad luck you can absolutly not get rich iron and fertile soil with 50 rerolls. If you also insist in have the earlier resources, it's likely. Deer is super important for early hides so you can forfill clothing need withouth starting farming for flax.

i think Rich farming fertility is useless in this game unless you play hard mode you can overwhelm 2 full oven ( 6 familly ) with flour on a 49 to 59% wheat harvest my favorite start up is Fishing+Rich Hunting + Rich Salt + clay + stone and medium farming fertility i get my Iron from market for the first 50 piece then my second town can easy provide with mule the missing iron to the first town this game is amazing i love it.. i cant wait for more to be added
