Straight Roads
I am needing a way to make straight roads. Is there also a way to overlap a grid to ensure that my city blocks are actually square? I do not care for round roads. i care for straight perfect roads that perfectly fit that is exactly the same size at the other city block.

when you lay a road down I think its CTRL and use the mouse wheel to straighten it, if you want a grid city which is totally not per the time era but hey, you do you , pro tip, at the beginning lay out the basic grid using the warehouse, drop it down, lay some roads for the spacing then delete the warehouse. doesnt cost you anything, want bigger sections, use the mine, can also lay out grids with farmland and roads, then delete the farm area.
Best I can offer.

Hunters hut is probably a better idea for setting space to make a straight road.
Why?
No materials to build it. So you can spam as many as you want. Pew, pew.
I'm sure there are other buildings that are 'free' to build, but that is the one I remember at this moment.

I hear making city grids is a great way to summon angry demons from beyond the void whenever you get frustrated at the game.

Because 'We must have this in a straight line' really didn't come into play with roads that much. Hell, it *still* doesn't.
If you want one, then...build one. Easy, peasy, you know? Just draw a straight line....

Or use dummy buildings in the appropriate amount, if you want to be cheese. Fields work great for that in long distances. Shorter, I prefer the lumberyard.
