water is under utilized
Water should be a resource for food and also potentially commerce.

What I'm really hoping for is water mills, not for only to grind wheat but also water driven sawpits. Fishponds would be also a nice addition.

They probably do. If you had to take care of that as well, you'd probably complain about too much micro management.
(Why complain when there's nothing to complain about?)

Why would I complain about too much micro, especially when it is not a micro subject ?
you have never played settlers, have you ?

Stop assuming stuff, it will make your life easier when communicating with people

wow seriously people wanted the dev to waste time utilising water lmao add a good few more months to development for something so trivial and i haven't watched anyone working on the bread house(communal oven) but like other places im sure they go and collect water il have to have a look to be certain it just wasn't something i found overly important how water is used i find other than the fishing idea all others are trivial and people just wanting something to moan about

wow, assuming that it will take months to add water to the game...you're not a dev, right ?

Stop assuming :)

I actually have played Settlers. It's still not necessary in this game to play out the water part for baking bread, in my opinion.

good thing it is only your opinion then, adding water as a better utilizes resource makes more sense than your opinion :)

Shad1902.
We should all stop assuming, eh?
We are not assuming anything. We read your comments and react, answer, that's all.
If you want to manage everything they do, play Sims 4. You'll even get to tell them when to brush their teeth and when to go to the toilet, and eat. A never ending story of stress.

its not under utilised the people go and collect it from the wells when they need it,just isn't something the player themselves need to bother with except putting down wells

Beside that i take the Game as it is, putting wells beside most buildings as it was a wide seen thing in the medival ages. Farmeslot hat also more than one well mostly.

looks more realistik then getting it mathematicaly with one well serves all worldwide :-)

actually it is... being a software developper myself, I can probably better gauge this topic than you do.

again, stop assuming...
lmao with how you act and talk your not a developer at all also is saying stop assuming the only thing you can say

thanks for proving that you want to bring this topic forward. Maybe you should stop posting if you have nothing to add to the discussion, except your petty will to get into a fight.

Adding a better utilization for water is highly probably to come, and adding it for the manufacturing chains is highly probable too...the dev wouldn't have bothered to add water supply otherwise.

that would work for hosues that are on a water vein, how would you do it for industrial use like bakeries or houses that aren't on a water vein ?

I like that idea of having local wells (on the houses zone), it will make the use of the water resource and placement of villages / houses more strategic

I've not watched my bakery or tavern enough to see if they do collect water for their production. I know they collect water for farms.

Can anyone confirm if they do collect water for their businesses? If so, i'm happy with it being fetched like that rather than as being another commodity that is moved around like food.

Just make sure you have plenty of wells near your businesses so that your workers don't have to walk so far to get it.

Regarding fishing, for that we need rivers or lakes, which i assume the dev will work on later when he can.

For the moment, i think his focus is squashing bugs and then after working on other features.... which features they would be remains to be seen.
