But it's all about what you expect, so I'll say wait, see how the further development goes.
i will take a look at youtube
Says the guy that doesn't own the game.
Would be nice if you actually have some hours into the game before you bash it!
Anyway for someone that now has 40+ hours in the game, there is allot of depth to the mechanics of the game, there is also allot still wrong with it but since its a game made with passion I have no doubt of this improving!
I would say the warfare is currently just army size and not really challenging, its more a race to get your supplies in time.
As of the building aspect you can build a functioning city very quickly if you know how these games work. if you want a efficient city that also looks good be prepared to spend some time into working out the inner workings of the game.
I would say if having an hour of good fun in a game is worth 1 euro to you,
this game will provide you with way more than 30 to make the price worth it!
It is a little bit of everything.
It should be noted you cannot build a SINGLE continuous "your town" across the entire map. Map is broken into regions and you claim them, but then have to build a whole separate new town in those regions. eg, it's essentially like starting over for each region. Of course you do not have to "build up" every region extensively.
im genuinely disappointed to how shallow the game actually is just after a few hours after playing it. i already expect it to be unfinished and whatnot, but not to this extent that even the dev couldnt be bothered to write a few strings of information to replace that variable name. i'd say goodluck on the development cycle when you have so much things going on and none of them are really finished. if this alone took 7 years then i shudder at the thought of how long it takes to get full release, that is with all promises intact by then. but hey, maybe some miracles happen.
anyway, i'd recommend you Song of Syx if you want a city simulation game if you dont mind playing pixel games. that one have similar aspects as this game with far more depth and more opportunities to commit geneva suggestion. its already nearing its completion and its also a single dev. compared to this overhyped piece of garbage i can attest to you that the song of syx dev's commitance is assured.
