So, tell me what is the game. It looks like more than just a city builder.
so primarly it's a city builder
Think of it as old world Britannic hamlets, all coexisting among other hamlets but never getting along and always trying to conquer the hamlet next door to become bigger.
Of course, it's not yet as in-depth as ‘Wiggles (Diggles)’ or ‘Oxygen not included’, it still needs time for that and that's also the reason why it's in the EA.
But the graphics and the small details, the music and so on show that a lot of love has been put into the project, and you can feel that when you play it.
Thanks i'll buy in then.
if you dont like ea no if you dont mind i guess it's decent
You CAN turn off all the combat/RTS elements so it's a peaceful undisturbed city builder.
You CANNOT then build a single giant town across all the available "map." The map is broken up into regions, which with the RTS stuff on, you would claim/conquer in a certain fashion. So it totally makes sense, I'm not complaining.
If you are in SANDBOX mode, you start on one region. You can build your "town" there all you want until it's edges full. Some of the regions are large-ish.
But when you claim another region, it's like starting a whole new town from scratch, including economy. They do not connect. You can barter goods from one region to another, but they are separate entities. It's like having 8 Banished maps in one save, except they are connected by bartering.
Other than that, it is similar to most city builder mechanics, except market system is wonky, there's early access bugs, balance, etc.
