Gameplay Request: Artisans and Tier III Houses
Hey Greg, I really love your game and I think even the mechanics some critizise like the marketsystem are good to reflect an actual town in the middle ages. But I have a question, Four families can live in level three houses, if the house is a craftsman's house all four families work on the same production, e.g. spears. I try to keep my population as small as possible so that I don't have to mass produce many goods. That's why it's a bit tiring to have four families that only produce spears, but in the long run that's not a problem because I can change the production chain manually, but it would be more convenient if you could choose one production chain per crafting family, or at least per two families. If this is not possible for blancing reasons, I would suggest adding an option to let the player regulate how many families live in a house, so that I don't have four families that only produce one thing. Maybe it's just my inexperience with the game, in theory you can build small houses and not upgrade them. It's just a very minor issue and the bugs and other things have more priority, it's just a suggestion.

Love your game
Greetings from germany

Edit:
I study middle eastern studies and we had a lecture about housing in the middle ages in the middle east and europe you did a very good job. It's possible right now to build historical layouts succsessfully.

Good suggestion. Large plots with additional housing space with artisans (4 families) seem to easily overproduce a single selected good. Either have the families remain available in a pool of to be assigned workers or allow us to set up multiple production lines.

I second this! Maybe good for trading with other settlements, but having the option to assign the individual families would be great.

I only place single houses for artisan, no house extensions. thats 2 families at level 3 istead of 4.

I know I mentioned that too, it would just be practical not necessary. Right now you have to build 4 houses for one artisan tree, I built one maximum house with 4 families and it was a bit tiring to switch between spears, swords etc... of course in theory you can just build 4 houses.
