A Menu Overview of Buildings and Backyard Upgrades
While its nice that there is a good diversity of buildings, there should be an overview panel of buildings that currently exist within villages, displaying the number of workers, a "find on map" button, Burgage level if relevant, etc. Its a little hard to find buildings on the map when they look similar, and I often find myself trying to remember where they are, how many workers are there, where I can take workers from, etc.

If you hold down Tab it'll show an overlay that will let you know how many workers are there and when a plot is available for upgrade along with some other information.

However, it would be nice if the icon next to the worker count reflected the industry it's for.

Holding Tab does nothing but a quick overview of vague statistics. Also holding TAB is quite uncomfortable while playing the game (stategyzing) - IMO should be a button on/off like most games).
I second that there must be a special menu not only for the buildings we currently have, ALSO for workers. I have to chase workers house by house rn.
I have no idea what the unassigned workers are doing or where they are living.

Also a MUST - is to be able to reassign family to a different house.
Burgage should show what kind of extensions they have (cannot see unless I click if chickens or goats) - like an icon or something.

Dev specifically said he didn’t implement that because he’s worried people would play it more from the menu like an Excel spreadsheet than getting immersed in the game. I appreciate his vision, but I think it needs to be implemented and players should choose for themselves how they want to play. We will see what happens if he gets enough feedback to this effect.

Spreadsheets or not, how can I make an informed decision?
I'm mostly shooting in the blind - and basically clicking buildings to see whats going on.
Right now I am memorizing each and every building. On a small town is doable, but on large town with 2 other districts/regions owned.. quite a challenge, maybe that is the game - practice your memory! :)

This makes sense, and I agree with that. A simple fix would to just add a large icon above the buildings when holding down tab, maybe with a worker count underneath. I just need to be able to see where my buildings are and how many workers are in them at a glance.
