Still, I think an easy fix to this is just make archer carrying ammo and the ammo have to be made by a dedicated worshop. This way archer will have the same logistic profile as infantry and be allow to bear down their own firepower. Also, there should be some kind of archery yard or burgous expansion with a shooting range where your militia spent certain time of the year training archery.
You can probably expect this thread to be ended as it's 8 or so months old.

Oh, I must be hallucinating when using them then.
Edit - All these threads about how bad they are, what are you folks doing with them? Charging them into melee range and wondering why they are bad or something?
Archers are a great, cheap, brilliant way to arm your militia and keep them out of (melee) danger.
