Burgage plots work well. I'm only doing fields for flax and barley as they are needed for clothes and ale. Food is coming from Apiary, Burgage plots, hunter, and berries.
I’m trying to get this achievement in the game, I also decided to try not to collect berries and meat from animals, since I have huge deposits of ore and clay. but it became more difficult for me to play this way (since I always played a small farm here), and now I need to learn new things (trade routes) and so on. and encountered a fire for the first time yesterday. it was exciting.
+ 3 large veggie farm
+ quadrope 4 family housing egg kingdom
never failed to feed a army of 5 stack
farming is a luxury idea at current situation, i failed to make farm start for over 50hours.
they require a bit of tweaking and micro management
i only farm barley at midgame when i have more manpower to use.
might gonna test out few more try later
