The real bug for me is I usually have 4 fields and randomly in March, usually 2 up to 3 of the 4 fields will completely reset to unplowed status, I then have to plow and sow all over again which I shouldn't even do in March because you get almost NOTHING come September.
If it's first year and I get this bug I restart. I'm on a year 7 save now brute forcing my way through the hunger or lack of tavern due to no barley because my fields reset every spring.
I fix it by unassign an ox and its work but i don't know about you tho
also just a little tip , if you're not in the late game , don't do big field but do many 0.2 to 0.5 morgen field
I've found that mid size fields work better, allows the farmers to complete the fields and move onto the next. If the fields too large it will not be finished in time to sow it.
My farms have 3 to 4 mid size fields, rotating the crops so at any one time theirs always something to do. (that's around 6 to 8 times the size of the farm house plot)
Also set the "trashing" to a higher level than standard.
- There's lots of storage in the farms so they can hold both the unprocessed field crop and the trashed product.
- Hopefully the granary or warehouse workers will pick this up.
