The miller makes grain into flour, not wheat. The farmer families will convert wheat to grain after all the field work is done.
-took me like 2 in game years to realize this-
At lease during the press and content creators version.
I've imported rye and wheat. 40 of each. Windmill doesn't do anything. Wheat and rye sits on trade post while other goods are being moved around.
Granary workers suppose to collect it to store. Trader should move it.
Barely imported actually works fine. Flax imported works fine.
On the Farm, there's a selection to set a higher priority on "thrashing".
It's defaulted to medium.
- If it's the trade post, are the working slots filled?
- May need to build a small warehouse near the trade post. Have it moved there first and see if the farm will go get it.
- The warehouse is where the carts are located that pick up and deliver materials, the farm does not have these? (don't remember if the farm has carts?)
Addition:
If the material is stuck in the trade post, try stopping the import, and reduce your required quantity to 0.
Now the transport should move it out.
TL;DR:
Build a Farmhouse. Wheat -> Corn
