Just dreaming, really, but would be great to add mental/psychological/stress effects to the villagers, too. People went strange in those time, for sure, look at the weird things they believed. Life was really hard and the game shows this well, But the villagers seem like passive worker robots. Haven't seen anything like it yet in the game, so assuming mental breakdowns are not a thing, unless low happiness causes it?
Also feuds between families were common, That would effect village production.
Personally, i would much rather the game focus in the internal conflicts of village life (there were many), than the Total War lite battles. I think battles would be something that that despite major effects, would cross a village maybe once or twice a generation. Internal conflicts were continual, every day.
