What's the limit on back yard vegetable plots being workable?

The tool tip says the yield is based on size of the plot. I had the idea of having a large burgage plot with a vegetable garden acting as a kind of veggie farm, even expanded the housing so I'd have two families working one big plot. Didn't work, looked like half the visual growing plots weren't being worked. I'm assuming it was too big for the families to work in their spare time.

So does anyone know where abouts is the point where a plot becomes too big to work? And is it worth it to give over the space needed?

so far i only need like 2-3 vegie farm to get over 200 300 ish vegie

idk whos reponsible for gathering vegie. i rarely see it in my storehouse. but i found them in marketstall and trade post when i sell them.

i generally make them twice as longer compare to other house plot. any longer is not necessary as u always vegie is always too much and not worth selling. they cant turn into anything else either

Do you use 1 family or two family for the veggie plot?

every start of game, i spend money on 1 ox, and build 3 of those 1+1 house plot, turn 2 of them into veggie farm on april and make them all 1+1 double house, they will start working on the field while working on other task

its ur priority to turn them into tier3 housing, as 4 family works faster and they become ur top food source, even if u just have 2 of those field they will generate way too much veggie

been faster means each of those 4 family spend less time on their veggie field and work more on other job
