Automatic crop rotation doesnt work
Every year, instead of cycling the rotation scrambles itself. This, and other factors makes using crop rotation even worse than just manually setting it to fallow and then back to crops come next year.

My issue with crop rotation is that my workers will finish harvesting the current year's crops and then instead of turning wheat to grain, they'll plow and plant *NEXT YEAR'S CROP* right after harvest before they'll look at the wheat.

The video doesnt really explain much, other than telling me crop rotation is even more broken and useless than it seems. I am not doing anything wrong here, i am simply turning it on, telling the field to grow wheat this year, fallow next, and wheat again after that. Instead of following this, the order gets scrambled every spring.
That is my issue.

Hes just saying what i already know. Crop rotation is inefficient and broken. Thats what this thread is about. Watch the section of the video on crop rotation yourself you moron.

Is it though? You might be expecting something else probably. Wheat-fallow-wheat can result in 2 wheat in a row followed by a fallow

TLDR: Crop rotation is broken by (bad) design. Don't use it.

It should be triggered by finishing your last harvest but instead it is tied to a fixed date - 1st October. So when you can't harvest and haul your crops by the end of september then say bye bye to your whole year harvest. And when you are too fast then farmers will start ploughing or even sowing again the same crop which damages fertility and also this effort is wasted when 1st October hits and triggers crop rotation change.

Not like I was surprised by the dirty words your tiny teeny girly avatar takes in its mouth, but you brought the same argument a few minutes ago in a different thread. No need to go into details, it's a general argument you used yourself. It can't be wrong.

When i set it to wheat (current)-fallow-wheat, or its inverse, come spring of the next year it sets itself to fallow (current)-wheat-wheat rather than maintaining the same pattern.

they need to push rotationg to dec, , rotate on oct will delete anything left on field, just like demolish a storehouse and rebuild on the same location will delete all the resource on the ground

No, they need to change trigger so ii is not a date but it must be tied to a field status - when harvest is finished then switch. Rotating late has another set of issues.

in that case, just make rotation not deleting resource on ground. make resource and new field co exit
