One Joiner's shop is a massive thorn in my side.

The joiner's shop eats planks WAY too fast. I have a sawmill with two families and a permanent livestock assignment and it cannot keep up with the planks that the joiner's shop eats up. I now have to either destroy an upgraded Burgage plot or make more sawmills with more families....

When you select the building there is a pause button on the top right of it's menu.

You can pause production for a time, top right corner of the building detail window. I end up microing the joiner to counter the plank drain.

It bothers me that you can't change the workshop later.
The family is occupied with the job even if you pause it, you basically just lose the production and it's a given that eventually you will no longer need that production.

Especially when sell prices drop below raw ressource input.

I didn't see the pause but yes losing the family while it's paused would be much less frustrating but still not great.
