How to increase retinue?

I have gotten into my first brigand attack now in my game and handled them with minimal losses. What I am wondering though is how I can increase the number of soldiers in my retinue? It starts out with 5 and a max of 12 and how do I increase the 5 to the 12? I know to increase the max you have to build the tower building.

Edit the retinue with it selected and click the paint brush icon and buy them for 50 gold each. You can double your max amount to 24 by adding garrison to your manor as well.

select your retinue icon. there is a button for "customize". in the following menue you can buy additional soldierts. they cost 50 money. its not paid from the town wealth, its paid by yourself (top right side, next to your portrait)

You can have a unit of retinue for each additional area you control as well.

Ok how do you add them to your manor after youve added some retinue?

EDIT: You need treasury (not regional) wealth for hiring more retinues

Make sure you set your taxes to be turned on in your manor building to get treasury funds.

Select you retinue soldiers then 'dis-band' units. Once dis-banded you click on the 'Army' tab and now the retinue soldiers are greyed out. Above you now see the paintbrush icon. Press it and increase away, provided you hold the weath
